Richard Perry

Richard has spent the majority of his career at Grant Thornton in London, within the Entrepreneur & Private Client tax team.

Richard specialises in both Corporate and Personal Taxes, dealing with compliance, advisory and transaction work for a range of clients, including entrepreneurs, owner managed businesses, wealthy international families and city professionals. Richard advises many non-UK domiciled individuals, advising them on the remittance basis of taxation as well as offshore structuring involving corporates and trusts.

Richard regularly advises clients on the efficient structuring of their wealth and investments, as well as wider succession planning and inheritance tax mitigation. Within this is a significant experience of advising clients in relation to UK property.

Richard has advised on many sell-side business transactions, particularly in relation to pre-sale structuring and the taxation of different forms of consideration.

Richard is a Chartered Accountant after passing his ICAEW exams in December 2011. He is also a Chartered Tax Adviser after passing his CTA exams in May 2013 in one sitting, where he was awarded 4 prizes.

Nicholas Coward

Nicholas started his career in the Entrepreneur and Private Client tax team with Grant Thornton in London, before joining the Tax Team at Calibrate Partners, a Multi-Family office.  

Nicholas is experienced in providing holistic UK tax advice to a wide range of clients including entrepreneurial individuals, international families and owner managed businesses.

Nicholas regularly advises clients with respect to the tax implications of making EIS/SEIS investments, as well as companies raising funds under these tax advantaged schemes.

He has particular experience providing personal tax compliance services to individuals with complex tax affairs.

Specific areas of expertise include inheritance tax, business succession, real estate, corporate restructuring and pre-arrival or departure planning. Many of Nicholas’s clients are non-UK domiciled HNWIs, often with complex offshore structures requiring scrupulous and pragmatic navigation of the relevant tax law.

Nicholas is a Chartered Accountant.
